Here at Surfside Presbyterian we place a high priority on learning God’s word and applying it to our everyday lives. We believe that the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ impacts every area of our lives. We invite you to come and grow with us. We offer Bible Studies on Tuesday mornings, Wednesday evenings and ABFs on Sunday morning. Here is a list of these studies. Breaking Free: Ladies Study Making Liberty in Christ a Reality in Life, (same as Tuesday morning study) by Beth Moore - Led by Betsy Thomas "Why Presbyterian?" What do Presbyterians believe and why am I one of them? These are just a few of the questions that will be answered in this class. Special attention will be given to particular subjects and how Presbyterians view them. Subjects will include: Baptism, the Church, Salvation by faith alone, Covenant theology, Evangelicalism, End times and the Lord's Supper. Teacher: Pastor Tim Melton "The Peacemaker: A Biblical Guide to Resolving Conflict" While personal conflict is abundant in our world what is not so plentifully is a proper understanding of how the Scriptures teach us to handle the conflict. Taken from the book of the same name, this class will examine personal conflict and how to practically and biblically respond to it. Jesus Himself said, "Blessed are the peacemakers." Come and learn how to grow an atmosphere of peace inside the church. Teacher: Pastor Shane Floyd "1st and 2nd Peter" This class will be an overview of the books of First and Second Peter. The books cover such topics as: persevering in suffering, living as aliens in the world, false teachers, and the second coming.
